Wednesday 14th March
What’s this!? Another blog post! Shockingly I seem to be keeping up with my inane drivel.
So what’s been going on… Well, since the last blog on the 5th, Jane, Darcey and I have been away to Holland to celebrate a wedding. A good time was had and it gave me the perfect opportunity to try some different beers. Since our return I have struggled, fruitlessly so far, to find some beers from Texel. Texel is a brewery on the Friedland Islands in The Netherlands. It produces a great range of beers but it would seem there isn’t a UK importer as yet. Damn! Watch this space anyway.
Whilst we were away Mumbo Jumbo played at the pub on the Friday night. This three piece skiffle blues band are really different and seemingly split the crowd, some loved them, some didn’t. Either way, they are playing again on the 11th May. Hopefully I’ll get to see them this time, I already know I’m a fan!
Today, my day has been filled with beer orders and deliveries. We have had casks dropped from Pictish, Potbelly and Hawkshead . We have also placed an order for more bottles for our extensive list. Coming this week we have new bottles from Nogne O from Norway; St Bernadus and Jupiler from Belgium; La Trappe from Holland; and Flensburger from Germany. We will also be replenishing our stocks of your favourites.
Also, one last thing… We might be getting a guest blogger soon too!
See you soon,
Chris
