New bike projects

As you probably know, Jane, Darcey and I went to Holland last weekend for her brothers wedding. Whilst over there, Tom (the groom), Bren (Best man) and I went for a few beers the night before. I don’t know how many of you have been to Holland, but if you don’t know they cycle everywhere! The road system is laid out really well for it… Anyway, obviously being a cyclist myself, we opted for the ride to the pub routine for the night before. Great fun and a really good idea for getting about. This “beer bike” event triggered a spark in me and since getting back I have being scouting eBay for a suitable bike for myself. Well today I won one for really cheap. Its a 60′s sit up and beg bike that I pick up on Sunday. Hoorah!
On top of that I am building up a single speed mountain bike, just waiting on a chainring to get here from the US. I also need to finish fixing the fixie. Sun is coming so i need to get on my bikes again!
The Wharf is cyclist friendly and we will have our bike wash sorted soon too. Always a helpful hand from me too if you need a repair. Soon, if everything goes to plan, we (a friend called Chris Mountcastle and myself) will be operating a small bike spares and repair business from the former kitchen too. No excuse for not riding down!
